Curtain walling system for low to mid-rise applications.
Senior Architectural Systems curtain walls have been developed to offer proven, cost effective solutions to large glazed areas in low and mid-rise buildings. With a 50 mm wide face dimension, the systems offer a range of mullion depths to cater for differing structural conditions and the option of single or double glazing for improved thermal and acoustic performance.
The SCW System curtain wall is designed for low to mid-rise applications, to provide a high quality answer to many fenestration requirements. It offers flexibility in specification and can be single or double glazed A range of mullion depths cater for differing structural conditions, with complementary sections for sloped glazing. A range of external caps to vary the finished appearance are available.
The SCW system uses a box and plate format for factory frame assembly. Mechanical fixing of square cut adjoining components at butt joints uses stainless steel or plated self-tapping screws into integral screw ports extruded into the body of the sections. Vertical framing sections are designed to run through, enabling individual panel fabrication, easing the problems associated with handling and transporting large or multi-panel frames when fully assembled.
When tested in accordance with the procedures laid down in BS 5368-1 to -3, the SCW System achieved the following classifications for weather resistance as defined in BS 6375: 1989:
