Description

Schöck Stacon® simplifies the planning and execution of expansion joints while at the same time making the best possible use of the available space.

Schöck Stacon® is the ready-to-install shear force dowels for the constraint-free transmission of shear forces in expansion joints put an end to complicated detailed solutions. They enable simple design and formwork and at the same time simplify reinforcement layout. By using high-quality stainless steels, Schöck shear force dowels guarantee a safe and maintenance-free connection. Schöck's heavy-duty and load dowels are cost-effective and absorb shear forces safely and reliably.

Available in 2 types:

The Schöck Stacon® type SLD - This heavy-duty dowel is more compact and enables the installation of higher loads on thinner ceilings and walls. In addition, less on-site reinforcement is required.

Years of research form the basis for the optimisation of the shear force dowel Stacon® type SLD. In an extensive series of tests, heavy-duty dowels were tested and optimised according to the latest state of the art for longitudinal and transverse displacement, the load-bearing capacity of concrete and steel, and their fire behaviour.

The result is the shear force dowel Schöck Stacon® type SLD with United Kingdom Technical Assessment (UKTA) with fire protection classification R 120.

The Schöck Stacon® type LD - To avoid cracks due to temperature expansion or the shrinkage of concrete, expansion joints must be arranged in long structural elements and buildings. The simplest solution for force transmission in expansion joints is the Schöck Stacon® type LD. This shear force dowel connects the components adjacent to the joint without additional constructions. In doing so, the shear forces are transferred and at the same time the required movement is made possible. Complex double walls or corbels for load transfer can be omitted with these shear dowels.
