Bespoke modular riser-weathering cabinet to suit specific size requirement.

Material

Frame components: 3.0 mm-thick 5251 grade aluminium as standard (3.0 mm-thick galvanized carbon steel may be required for longer spans; consult manufacturer for details)

Frame bolting: A2 stainless steel M10 bolts, nuts and washers

Apron flashing: 1.0 mm-thick 5251 grade aluminium

Vertical panels: 2.0 mm-thick 5251 grade aluminium, 50 mm-thick foil faced insulation, thermal transmittance 0.41 W/m²K

Roof closure panels: 3.0 mm-thick 5251 grade aluminium; 50 mm-thick foil faced insulation. Thermal transmittance: 0.41 W/m²K

Insulation in panels: 50 mm-thick foil faced polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation 0.022 W/m·K providing an overall U-value of 0.41 W/m²K. Fire performance: Class 1 (BS 476, Part 7), Euroclass F (BS EN 13501-1). Further insulation options are available to provide enhanced U-values and fire ratings; consult manufacturer's technical department for further information

Compressible foam seal: Impregnated polyurethane (PUR) flexible foam tape with fire resistant polymeric impregnant

Cabinet:

- Size:

  • To suit roof openings of (unlimited length) x (width up to 3000 mm).
  • Height (top of kerb to top of lid): Up to 3000 mm
  • Service penetration zone is 270 mm less than cabinet height, positioned 110 mm above kerb upstand/ 160 mm below top of lid.

- Configuration:

Where the standard configurations in the Roofbox M range are not suitable, a bespoke solution can be manufactured to suit larger or different size or shaped riser openings and in taller heights. These roof cabinets can also be configured to interface with parapet walls, corners and lift overruns. Contact manufacturer with detailed riser opening requirements.

When mounted on a concrete kerb upstand, an aluminium skirt flashing detail can be utilized at the base of the unit, to weather over the insulation on the face of a concrete kerb.

- Colour:

Can be polyester powder coated to any RAL colour and can incorporate louvre panels, access panels and specially designed flashings for ducts, cables and other service penetrations.
