Rockery type plant substrate is a growing medium consisting of a specific blend of high quality crushed brick and selected mineral aggregates, enriched with a small amount of mature compost. The product has excellent water permeability and high porosity. It is used as a substrate to support the growth of extensive rockery type plants in green roof applications, which can be individually plug planted or seed sown by hand.
