Rimini Fencing

Description

Rimini is a railing fence with a modern angular appearance. It is made entirely from solid flat bars to provide strength, rigidity and a weightiness appropriate to a quality fence.

The flexibility of its design allows it to be made with variable widths of flat bar, either flush with the top and bottom rails or inset. The depth of the panel can vary between 40-80 mm according to architectural preference.

Available in five standard heights between 550-1450 mm and can be made to a specific height. The fence is supplied with flat bar posts to create an almost seamless fence run. Posts can be base plated for wall mounting or made in lengths for ground fixing.

Bespoke designs:

A heavier section of flat bar post would be required if Rimini is specified as a load-bearing balustrade.

The flexibility of its design allows it to be made with variable widths of flat bar, either flush with the top and bottom rails or inset. The depth of the flat bar pale can be increased up to 100 mm according to architectural preference, with consideration given to the weight of panel.

Alternative lengths and style of post:

  • For ground fixing.
  • With base plates for fixing to a concrete foundation.
  • Off-set over top of wall.
  • For anchoring within wall pockets.

Special panel widths:

Non-standard widths fabricated to custom size by Lang+Fulton following site survey.

Installation:

  • Fastenings: Panels fixed to posts with stainless steel bolts with domed heads and snap-off security nuts, all stainless steel grade A2.
  • Groundwork: Refer to BS 1722 giving consideration to existing ground conditions. Posts to be set in holes 300 to 400 mm square in plan and between 550 and 700 mm in depth, depending on fence height. Holes should be completely filled to a minimum of 50 mm below ground level with concrete mix (minimum strength of C20).
  • Height from ground: Panels to sit maximum 100 mm off ground.
  • Changes in level: Fence panels stepped to a maximum of 150 mm on standard length post. Post centres to be reduced for steeper gradients (between 1:20 and 1:7).
  • Changes in direction: SHS for 90 degree corner post. Two flat bar posts for other angles.

Finishing:

Polyester powder coating is a multi-stage process which applies thermo-setting resins producing a significantly superior finish to painting.
