Resopal® MFC

Melamine-faced chipboard (MFC) sheets manufactured in accordance with EN 14322. As well as the 60 and EM surfaces, the innovative matte Elegant Wood (EW) fine-pore wood structure is available. Information on matching ABS edges is available on the manufacturer's website.

The particleboard is a three-layer board with an extra-fine chip outer layer. The boards are manufactured by directly applying uncured melamine resin-impregnated high-value papers to both faces of the board substrates and achieving bonding and curing in the same process, using heat and pressure but without the use of an intermediate adhesive.

Technical characteristics:

• Particleboard specification: P2 to EN 312.
• Resistance to scratching to EN 14322: ≥ 1.5 N.
• Resistance to staining to EN 14322: Rating ≥3.
• Resistance to cracking to EN 14322: Rating ≥3.
• Surface defects to EN 14322: Spots ≤2 mm²/m², length: ≤20 mm²/m².
• Edge damage to EN 14322: ≤10 mm. (Pre-cut panels: ≤3 mm).
• Flatness to EN 14322: ≤2 mm/m.
• Resistance cigarette burns to EN 14323: Rating 2.
• Resistance to water vapour to EN 14323: Rating ≥2.
• Resistance to impact (by large diameter steel ball) to EN 14323: Drop height ≥200 mm.
• Resistance to colour change in xenon arc light to EN 14323: Blue wool scale: ≥6.
• Gloss to EN 14323: 60° geometry method: 14–20.
• Surface soundness to EN 311: ≥0.9 N/mm².
