REGUPOL Solar has been specially developed for the installation of photovoltaic and solar systems on flat roofs.

The DIN 18531 compliant protective layers protect the roof waterproofing during installation and operation, are durable, can withstand high mechanical loads and are also quick and easy to install. 

REGUPOL Solar is available in special versions for almost every area of application - for example with flame-retardant finish and/or self-adhesive backing.

The protective layers for photovoltaic and solar installations consist of up to 95 percent PUR-bonded rubber granules from tyre re-treading, based on recovered and recycled polymer raw materials.

For more than 65 years, circular economy and upcycling have been a way of life for us, which is why REGUPOL was awarded the Environmental Economy Prize. NRW in 2020 and the Efficiency Prize NRW in 2021.

That makes REGUPOL Solar the right supplement for regenerative energy generation on flat roofs. 

The products are developed and intended for the application described here. Use of the product for other purposes may lead to safety issues. 

All Variants are a prime example of a circular economy and upcycling.

They are all pressure-resistant, permanently elastic, resistant to microbes, temperature and ageing, vapour-permeable, rot-proof, largely resistant to acids and alkalis, and antistatic according to EN 1815.

Solar Standard:

Photovoltaics on a flat roof? Of course.

REGUPOL Solar Standard is a protective layer specially developed for the installation of photovoltaic and solar systems on flat roofs according to DIN 18531 and the Flat Roof Guidelines. 

Solar Standard is designed and individually fabricated to match the mounting system. During the installation and operation of photovoltaic systems on flat roofs, it sustainably protects the roof waterproofing from mechanical damage and thermal influences, thus decisively extending its service life.

Solar Alu:

The solution for photovoltaics on non-rubber-non-rubber-compatible sealed flat roofs

REGUPOL Solar Alu is a protection layer according to DIN18531, specially developed for the respective substructure system of photovoltaic and solar systems protects all commercial sealing systems of flat roofs with an aluminium foil lamination on the underside to prevent plasticiser migration.

Solar Alu is a protective layer specially developed for the installation of photovoltaic and solar systems on non-rubber-compatible sealed flat roofs according to DIN 18531 and the Flat Roof Guidelines. 

Solar Alu is finished with an aluminium triplex foil on the underside and sustainably and reliably protects all commercially available waterproofing systems against mechanical and thermal influences. The aluminium triplex foil prevents interactions such as plasticiser migration between non-rubber-compatible waterproofing membranes and the protective layer. 

Solar Alu is compatible with all commercially available structural and flat roof waterproofing systems, including those that are not rubber compatible, such as soft PVC. 

Solar Fire:

More safety under your photovoltaic system

REGUPOL Solar Fire is a protection layer in accordance with DIN 18531 and is intended for PV flat roof systems with in-creased fire protection requirements. It is resistant against flying sparks and radiant heat acc. general appraisal certificate: Broof(T1).

Thanks to the fire protection finish, Solar Fire gives additional safety for the manufacturer, installer and operator, as it significantly reduces the fire load.

The eight-millimetre-thick material is flame retardant and, when laid over the entire surface, is considered "hard roofing" with the classification Broof(T1) according to DIN EN 13501-5 – resistant to flying sparks and radiant heat.

The protective layer according to DIN 18531 and the Flat Roof Guidelines of course sustainably secures the waterproofing and insulation under the photovoltaic system against mechanical, thermal and chemical influences.

Solar Alu Fire:

With safety for photovoltaic systems on flat roofs

REGUPOL Solar Alu Fire, a protective layer in accordance with DIN 18531 specially developed for PV flat roof systems, combines fire retardant equipment - Broof(T1) - with an aluminium-laminated underside that protects all commercial sealing systems.

Solar Alu Fire is a protective layer according to DIN 18531 and the Flat Roof Guidelines, which, in addition to the flame-retardant finish, is also equipped with aluminium triplex foil on the underside. This protective layer (thicknesses ≥ 8 mm), specially designed for the installation of photovoltaic and solar systems on flat roofs, meets the requirements for "hard roofing" with the classification Broof(T1) according to DIN EN 13501-5, when laid over the entire surface.

The General Building Authority Test Certificate thus certifies the resistance of Solar Alu Fire to flying sparks and radiant heat. The fire load on flat roofs is reduced, which is becoming increasingly important as fire protection requirements become more stringent.

Lamination on the underside with aluminium triplex foil prevents interactions such as plasticiser migration between non-rubber-compatible waterproofing membranes and the protective layer. The protective layer is therefore compatible with all commercially available building and flat roof waterproofing systems, including those that are not rubber compatible, such as soft PVC. 

Solar Glue:

A quickly mounted protective layer

REGUPOL Solar Glue is a DIN 18531 compliant protection layer for installation under your photovoltaic flat roof systems with self-adhesive backing as an aid for rapid mounting and installation.

In this version, the underside is equipped with a self-adhesive layer. The self-adhesive layer, intended as an installation aid, fixes the protective layer to the standing surfaces of the solar panels.

This enables the installation of Solar Glue already in the factory. It can be designed to match the mounting system and is individually customisable. Solar Glue can be applied quickly and easily – without waiting for further roof construction.

Solar Alu Glue:

Easy to install and can be combined with all types of waterproofing

REGUPOL Solar Alu Glue protects all commercial sealing systems on flat roofs according to DIN 18531 without plasticiser migration thanks to its own aluminium lamination. With its self-adhesive equipment, it offers smart solution for mounting on the PV-mounting system.

Solar Alu Glue is a protective layer according to DIN 18531 with lamination on the underside, specially developed for the installation of photovoltaic and solar systems on flat roofs.

The aluminium triplex foil prevents interactions such as plasticiser migration between non-rubber-compatible waterproofing membranes and the protective layer. In addition, Solar Alu Glue is finished with a self-adhesive top, which greatly facilitates installation. It can be designed to match the mounting system.

REGUPOL solar fire glue, protection layer according to DIN 18531, offers individual protection for PV mounting systems on flat roofs and higher fire class rating, Broof(T1), by its fire-retardant finish, and self-adhesive backing as an installation aid.

Solar Fire Glue is the protective layer specially developed for the installation of photovoltaic and solar systems on flat roofs according to DIN 18531 and the Flat Roof Guidelines, and protects the waterproofing system and the thermal insulation against mechanical, thermal and chemical influences.

REGUPOL Solar Special links the protection of all commercial sealing systems according to DIN 18531 with guard of plasticiser migration, a mounting aid by self-adhesive backing and a higher fire class - Broof(T1) - for PV mounting systems.

In the special version, Solar Special combines the protection of your flat roof waterproofing with a flame-retardant finish, a self-adhesive installation aid and lamination with an aluminium triplex foil, which prevents interactions such as plasticiser migration between non-rubber-compatible waterproofing membranes and the protective layer.

The protective layer according to DIN 18531 and the Flat Roof Guidelines protects the waterproofing system and the thermal insulation from mechanical, thermal and chemical influences.
