Application

Waterproofing, tanking, lining planters, civil engineering and temporary protection (internal and external). For basements and subterranean structures.

Description

Protection and drainage layer.


Features and benefits:

  • High density polyethylene (HPDE).
  • 0.6 mm-thick membrane with 8 mm-deep cups.
  • Waterproof membrane manufactured with an egg-box shaped profile to prevent abrasion and puncturing of tanking membranes and allow water to drain vertically down the side of the structure.
  • Resistant to chemicals, roots, mould and bacteria, but requires protection from UV.
  • Harmless to drinking water.
  • Can flex and be shaped around awkward areas and details without compromising the seal.
  • Folded around the catchment system laid beneath which will pump or drain the water away.
  • Also available as a lightweight membrane (specified separately).

Guidance for specification option:

  • Individual sheets can be fixed together either using double sided tape or with fixing studs and nails.
  • The studs are specially designed to fit into the cups. They have a hole in the middle to drive the nails or screws through and will seal the membrane around the nail fixing so no water will go into the pierced area.
  • A cover profile can be fitted to the top edge of the drain, ensuring ventilation of the air gap and prevents particles or water clogging the cavity.
  • Heavy duty 900 g/m² or lightweight 450 g/m² versions available.
