Description

Promat SUPALUX® is a non-combustible calcium silicate board reinforced with selected fibres and fillers, is resistant to the effects of moisture and will not be subject to physical or performance deterioration when used in damp or humid conditions. The strong rigid board can be installed before the building is watertight, making it especially suitable in semi-exposed applications such as carparks or plantrooms. It is classified A1 non-combustible according to BS EN 13501-1.

Promat SUPALUX® is off-white in colour and has a smooth finish on one face with an embossed reverse face, it can be left undecorated or easily finished with paint.

Suspension grid	Framing: Steel C-Stud joists. Guidance for specification option: Substrate: The surrounding construction must be concrete/masonry construction and capable of bearing the load of the ceiling membrane under fire conditions and must have a fire rating equal to or greater than the ceiling being installed. Primary channels: Minimum 177 x 65 x 1.6 mm C-Stud joists fixed at maximum 610 mm centres. Edge channels: Minimum 177 x 65 x 1.6 mm C-Stud joists fixed at maximum 500 mm centres to perimeter with minimum M8 x 85 mm suitable fixings by others. Framing notes: Minimum 20 mm expansion gap required between joist and end channel.
Suspension grid fasteners	Fixing to primary channels: secure to C-Stud joists M16 bolt, nut, and washers. Brackets: connect joists to tracks via use of steel cleats. Guidance for specification option: Brackets: Minimum 6 mm thick, 160 x 75 x 130 mm (LxWxH) (1 per end connection). Bracket fixings: Bracket to perimeter (option 1): secure to end channel with minimum M16 × 30 mm countersunk bolt, nut, and washers (back-fixed). Bracket to perimeter (option 2): fix through end channel into substrate using Minimum M8 × 85 mm suitable fixings by others.

Sealant	FSi Promat Pyrocoustic® Fire Resistant Sealant.
