Guidance for specification option:

Low viscosity priming solution consisting of elastomeric bitumen and hydrocarbon solvent.

  • Colour: Black.
  • Coverage rate: 3–11 m² per litre.
  • To be applied by brush or roller.
  • Application rate: 0.1–0.3 L/m².
  • Application limits: 5–30°C.
  • Drying time: 1–3 hours.
  • Available in container sizes of 25 L.

vapour control stripes.

  • Upper surface: Thermofusible film.
  • Lower surface: Silica sand with SBS-modified bitumen stripes with thermofusible PE film.
  • Material: SBS-modified bitumen.
  • Type of reinforcement: Glass fibre, 120 g/m².
  • Independently site and laboratory tested by the British Board of Agrément and awarded BBA certificate number 07/4409, Product Sheet 2.


Characteristics:

  • Length, to EN 1848-1: 7 m.
  • Width (including selvedge), to EN 1848-1: 1 m.
  • Straightness, to BS EN 1848-1: <20 mm/10m.
  • Mass per unit area, to BS EN 1849-1: 4.96 kg/m².
  • Effective thickness, to BS EN 1849-1: 3.6 mm.
  • Water tightness, to BS EN 1928 (B): Pass.
  • Tensile strength, to BS EN 12311-1: 950 N/50mm (MD); 850 N/50mm (TD).
  • Elongation, to BS EN 12311-1: 6% (MD); 6% (TD).
  • Dimensional stability, to BS EN 1107-1: ≤0.5%.
  • Flexibility at low temperature, to BS EN 1109: ≤-15°C.

  • Upper surface: Mineral granules with thermofusible film to overlap selvedge.
  • Lower surface: Thermofusible PE film.
  • Material: SBS-modified bitumen.
  • Type of reinforcement: Polyester, 250 g/m².

  • Length, to EN 1848-1: 5 m.
  • Width (including selvedge), to EN 1848-1: 1 m.
  • Mass per unit area, to BS EN 1849-1: 7.2 kg/m².
