Description

The 3000 series ‘loft hatch’ is designed to provide access between 50 mm wide timber truss/ joisted plaster/ plasterboard ceilings, where access to the loft space is required.

The metal frame holds a flush metal door through adjustable hinges to one side. The door is held closed with either concealed push catches (PC) or a security key lock (SL). The door opens down towards the user and is removable during installation or if damage occurs. Panels with simulated dry wall beaded frames (BF) are jointed/skim-plastered and then decorated on site to match the colour/texture of the adjacent finish.

Picture frame (PF) panels are finished semi-gloss white so require no finishing after installation. A 2 mm gap is maintained between the door and frame through the adjustable hinges.

Customization of the access panel may be possible including alterative sizes, lock and paint colours, consult manufacturer for details.
