Application

Provide plasterboard faced protected openings in ceilings and walls for access to building engineering services.

Note:

These panels must be fitted prior to plastering so the metal beaded frame parts of the door and frame can be incorporated into the ceiling or wall membrane in the same way as a conventional stop bead.

Description

The premium range plasterboard access panel provides protected fire rated access solutions through plasterboard ceilings for access to building engineering services. The panels consist of a reinforces plasterboard faced pivoting or hinged door tray finished in powder-coated white.

Features and benefits:

The door tray encapsulates a layer of 12.5 mm plasterboard with a simulated beaded edge which provides a key for the tape and joint or skim coat.
The beaded frame type (SBF) has a perforated flange to key into the surrounding membrane. This is used where the surface has yet to be skimmed or tape and jointed.
Outwardly the door face can be skimmed or tape and jointed for a minimalist aesthetic.
Fire rated options are available.
The double edged door tray construction of the 50 mm profile offers greater rigidity to withstand a greater degree of abuse to the finished face.
