Description

Optima® Interlocking Wall-Plank is a simple, interlocking metal cladding panel that with an appropriate secondary support system may be used as part of a rainscreen system.

Panel features:

  • Cost effective.
  • Available in varying modules, which may be fixed in a vertical or horizontal plane.
  • Provide long life protection to the primary structure.
  • Developed and manufactured in accordance with CWCT guidelines.
  • Do not support combustion.
  • Meet the requirements of Class 0 fire performance in accordance with Building Regulations.

Support and fixing systems:

Depending on the primary structure the secondary support system may be simple timber battens or galvanized top hats. Once the secondary support has been lined and levelled to compensate for anomalies in the primary structure, the planks are through fixed using wafer head, self-tapping stainless steel screws through pre-punched holes concealed in the inside edge of the groove.

Consult Sotech regarding structural restrictions, and constraints relating to panel size, fastener type and frequency of fixings.
