Aluminium foil vapour control layer jointing tape.
Application
Novia Aluminium Foil Tape should be used in AVCL, DPM and radon gas barrier applications as an edge and lap sealing tape. It should be used in conjunction with Novia Double Sided Butyl jointing and sealing tape.
Description
Novia Aluminium Foil Tape is a high tack, low emissivity and low moisture vapour permeability lap sealing tape for use in air & vapour control layer (AVCL), damp proof membrane (DPM) and radon gas barrier applications.
Features and benefits:
- Should be used in conjunction with Novia Double Sided Butyl jointing and sealing tape, for the best results for airtightness and prevention of interstitial condensation.
- Cold weather solvent acrylic adhesive creates a tape that can be used for installation temperatures as low as -20°C with care, but it can also be used up to temperatures of +40°C.
- Low cost jointing tape.
Novia advises the use of both lap and butyl tapes on all AVCL installations - see membrane product specific datasheets for tape requirements.
