MedO D25 Reservoir & Drainage Board

Suitable for Extensive Green Roofing and for use as a Drainage Element.

MedO D25 provides both passive irrigation for any green roof system installed above it whilst also permitting free passage of excess rainwater below.

Cuspates in the board allow rainwater to be stored for passive irrigation during periods of dry weather. Drainage holes in the upper layer permit any excess rainwater from overfilling and potentially saturating the green roof system above.

MedO D25 has also been successfully tested as a permeable drainage layer beneath fully-bedded finishes, working in conjunction with permeable mortar beds to provide surface water management and drainage on larger areas, such as podium decks. In this arrangement, the board is not intended to be storing rainwater, so it is placed upside-down when functioning only as a drainage element.

MedO D25 is loose-laid and boards can be butted together or overlapped by one cuspate for larger green roof areas.

When used beneath a Green Roof System, MedO G11 Geotextile Filter Membrane must be installed above to prevent small fines from reaching the drainage network.
