Matelac®
Satin-finish painted and mirror backed glass.
Matelac® by AGC Glass Europe is a float and low iron glass range with one painted or mirror backed side and the other acid-etched. The sophisticated etching procedure gives the glass a satin finish. The high quality paint at the back of the glass results in a fine, opaque colour finish. Matelac® has many interior design applications including wall covering, doors, tables, shelving units and wardrobes.
Benefits:
- Durable appearance; to protect it against damage, the back of the glass with the paint or silver coating is always positioned against the support structure. Positioning it in this way also preserves the colour and appearance of the glass.
- High-quality finishing: the manufacturing process guarantees uniform finishing and the paint adheres flawlessly to the glass.

Standard product features | Water Resistant: - Matelac® colours can be used in wet/humid areas (bathrooms and kitchens) but cannot be immersed in water. - Matelac® must be protected from any water infiltrating at the back of the glass (use silicones for joints). Safety: - For extra safety a Safe film can be placed on the painted side of the glass. It allows for better protection in case of breakage, avoiding injury or damage. |
