Description
The M1 / SM1 Pedestrian Guardrail is a widely adopted, cost-effective solution for managing pedestrian movement in busy public environments. Designed to guide foot traffic safely to crossings and restrict unsafe road access, it is commonly installed along Britain’s highways, near schools, car parks, and industrial zones.
Constructed from robust steel with full-height infills, M1 models feature inline bars for maximum visibility, while SM1 units incorporate staggered infills to reduce distractions for drivers. Each panel is fabricated as a self-contained unit—no separate posts required—and can be tailored to suit gradients or curves. Offered in galvanised finish as standard, with optional black or green powder coating. Conforms to BS 7818 requirements for pedestrian restraint systems.
