Description

For retroactive waterproofing of the wall/floor junction through boreholes or previously installed injection hose. Boreholes shall be drilled transecting the construction joint. The borehole should be drilled approximately into the middle of the construction joint.

For this application KÖSTER Superpackers or KÖSTER One Day Site Packers are used. The injection is carried out with the KÖSTER 1C Injection Pump.

For this KÖSTER IN 5 can be used by either pumping into a previously installed injection hose, or by injecting through injection packers. Koster IN 5 is a very low viscosity polyurethane injection resin with a very long pot life. It will pass into even the finest cracks along the construction joint.

In case of flowing water or when it is not certain if the crack is dry or wet KÖSTER 2 IN 1 is injected. This resin will foam on contact with water but can also cure to a solid body elastic resin where no water contact is made, thus enabling a 2-stage injection process with only one resin.

Packers:

- KÖSTER One-Day-Site Packer:

Allows injection works to be completed in one day. Immediately after injecting, the part of the port which protrudes from the wall can be unscrewed and removed. The front part of the port stays in the wall, sealing the borehole so that no injection material can flow out of the borehole even under high pressure. The borehole can thus be closed immediately after the injection is carried out. Available in 90mm lengths.

- KÖSTER Super Packer:

With firmly mounted cone-head (grease nipple) fitting for pressure injection, galvanized. KÖSTER Superpackers are suitable for pressure injection. They are inserted into the borehole so that the rubber seal of the port is completely submerged in the borehole. Then, the port is tightened meaning the rubber seal is compressed which causes it to expand in width thus pressing it onto the wall of the borehole. The cone shaped tightening piece also ensures that the seal is pressed tightly onto the wall of the borehole. This way, the port is installed tightly in the borehole (also available with Pan Head 'slide on' fitting).

Available in 10 or 13 mm widths, 85 or 115 mm lengths.

Resin:

- KÖSTER KB-Pur® 2 IN 1 Injection Resin:

Will cure with or without water, solvent-free, polyurethane injection resin. Suitable as injection foam at water bearing cracks and joints as well as flexible solid-resin for permanent crack sealing.

- KÖSTER KB-Pur® IN 5 Injection Resin:

Two component, very low viscous, elastic polyurethane injection resin. Viscosity (at 25 °C, approximately) 70 mPa.s. For sealing of fine cracks and for injection via pre-installed injection hoses.
