High density structural dry screed panel made from gypsum fibre; range of thicknesses; T&G edges to be bonded to form a monolithic layer, floating, fully supported or spanning pedestal/joist grids.
Application
- Suitable as a raised hollow floor over pedestals (in commercial buildings) or over joists.
- Can be used as single and double layer systems, suitable for porcelain and stone tiles bonded directly without the need for an additional decoupling layer.
- Can be installed over timber joists and cradles and battens (in residential) or metal/ timber joists (in the modular off-site sector), as well as laid over existing solid substrate levelled.
Description
Knauf GIFA FHB is a high density (>1500 kg/m³) structural dry screed panel made from gypsum fibre, available in a range of thicknesses, with T&G edges to be bonded to form a monolithic layer, floating, fully supported or spanning grid of pedestals and joists.
Features and benefits:
- Tough, impact resistant, high surface hardness and compressive strength.
- Thermal conductivity rating of 0.35 W/m·K, suitable for underfloor heating.
- Interlocking tongue and groove edge, bonded with joint adhesive, no screws required.
- Fast system install compared to traditional methods, ready for foot traffic in 12 hours, ready for covering in 24 hours (depending on the use of levelling compound).
- No water or cement required in installation.
- Optimal solution for high void height build-ups, levelling uneven substrates, cost effective and high performing.
