A tongue and groove acoustic structural floor for sound proofing and noise reduction applications.
Application
- The Isosonic Dekfloor 30 system consists of 30mm Isosonic Dek 30 boards fitted directly over timber floor joists.
- To achieve Part E compliance, 100 mm thick low-density mineral wool is required between the joists with an Isosonic Ceiling treatment below.
- A metal frame ceiling utilising Isosonic Ceiling cleats is suitable for refurbishment projects. The increased performance requirement of new build projects means that the use of an Isosonic Ceiling system is required.
Description
ID30 is an acoustic covering and structural floor tested to achieve Approved Document Part E compliance. ID30 comprises a 22 mm flooring grade chipboard bonded to 8 mm high density (910 kg/m3) isorubber. The Isorubber layer helps to reduce impact and airborne sound transfer.
