Intelligent Battery Emergency Power Units for Operating Lights.
Suitable for use in operating theatres.
Brandon Medical offer a range of Emergency Power Units (iBEPU) designed to provide a single operating light with a maintained 24 V d.c. supply for a period of no less than 3 hours, in accordance with the regulatory and recommendatory documentation.
The iBEPU is supplied via 230 V a.c., which is utilised to provide 24 V d.c. to power the lamp under normal (healthy) operating conditions and charge the batteries. Should the primary supply suffer a mains failure or a catastrophic component failure, then the iBEPU will switch over to its own battery supply.
The monitored iBEPU system provides the additional benefit of indicating fault conditions of the charger or batteries, that could otherwise remain undetected until there is a power outage.
