i-FAST & psi-FAST sustainable superstructure solution complement fabric first, Low Upfront Carbon, Net Zero Carbon in Operation and Passivhaus designs.


Systems are suitable for applications within the public and private education, healthcare, lifescience, leisure, commercial and residential sectors.


Compatible with all membranes, lining boards. Tapes and sealants suitable for the project.


Not suitable for direct applied external or internal wet render/ plaster.

Patented wall panel with intrinsic fire, acoustic, structural and thermal performance.


Available in two versions: i-FAST and psi-FAST.


Psi-FAST is an evolution of Innovaré Offsite’s award-winning patented i-FAST structural timber panelised system which uses increased panel thickness and staggered timber stud detailing to reduce U-values and psi-values whilst underpinned by rigorous fire testing to BS EN 1365-1 (loaded fire resistance testing) at the world’s only 5m fully loaded test facility in Dubai.


Manufactured offsite in a highly controlled environment i-FAST & psi-FAST solutions offer the capacity to include Pre-Manufactured Value (PMV) elements such as factory-fitted vapour control, windows and cladding.


Both versions can be specified without reliance on fire performance of ancillary cladding, membranes and linings.


Can be used within an Innovaré Offsite Full Structure or Wrap Building System.

Features and benefits:

- Fire:

  • 30, 60 or 90 minutes standalone load bearing fire resistance and integrity.
  • Fire resistance enhanced by the addition of gypsum linings.
  • Insulation and board are both A1 non-combustible, Class 0 spread of flame.
  • i-FAST benefits from rigorous BS EN 1365-1 (loaded fire resistance testing) at the world’s only 5m fully loaded test facility in Dubai.
  • Evidence based fire resistance data underpins BS EN 1365-1 certification process and negates the need for 'Extended Field of Application’ (EXAP) by competent 3rd parties.


- Acoustics:

  • RW 56 dB (Ctr-5) standalone acoustic performance based on acoustic modelling.
  • Uprated to 60–62 dB with additional gypsum lining on one or both sides.
  • Used as an external wall behind brick cladding, the build-up will exceed 70 dB (Ctr -6).
  • Isolation of opposing boards gives resistance to airborne and impact sound.


- Structure:

  • Inner layer of studs transfers vertical floor and roof loads.
  • Outer layer of studs resist wind loads and support cladding.
  • Racking stability provided by a double boarded panel.
  • Durable high impact resistant facings with excellent fixing capacity.


- Thermal:

  • Limited repeating thermal bridges from staggered stud.
  • U-values from 0.23–0.11 W/m²·K depending on cladding and lining.
  • Enhanced airtight performance from factory fitted VCL.

Innovaré Offsite took the decision to bring a positive legacy to sustainability, offering and supporting a positive and valued impact within the sector. To this end Innovare have worked with KLH Sustainability Consultants and have taken responsibility to support qualified specifications of complete solutions through an embodied carbon calculator rather than EPD's.

Recyclability

Designing for Disassembly Transparency – Innovaré Offsite building systems are visible and with O&M manuals are easy to identify.
Regularity – Innovaré Offsite building systems and materials that are similar throughout a building and laid out in regular, repeating patterns.
Simplicity – Innovaré Offsite building systems and interconnections that are simple to understand, with a limited number of different material types and component sizes.
Limited number of components – it is easier to dismantle structures that are composed of a smaller number of larger timber members than a larger number of smaller timber members. Conversely, in cases where deconstruction will likely be undertaken using primarily hand-labor rather than large machinery, it may be appropriate to design with smaller, lighter members.
Easily separable materials – i-FAST or psi-FAST materials should be easily separable into reusable components. Mechanical fasteners are preferable to adhesives. Composite materials can cause difficulty unless the composite assembly has reuse value as an assembly.
