BB103
- All mainstream schools must include accessible WC plus specialist hygiene room with a hoist and space to change a pupil/ student.
- Primary school: hygiene room minimum 9 m², including change bed and accessible WC.
- Secondary school: hygiene room minimum 12m² including accessible shower, sluice WC and changing trolley.
BB104
- Hygiene rooms (one for every 12 non-ambulant pupils) with hoist, change bed, accessible WC and shower.
- Ambulant SEND one hygiene room per setting.
- All with sluice or equivalent to deal with waste.
- Special schools with pool to have assisted changing facilities, dry changing areas etc.
