Application

Ceiling system suitable areas where there are demands on air contamination and pressure control, and where occasional wet-wiping and/ or disinfection is required, including laboratories, the pharmaceutical and electronics industries, and healthcare premises.

Description

The system consists of Ecophon Hygiene Protec Air™ A tiles, which have a core of high-density glass wool and a painted, particle-repellent Akutex™ HP surface. The edges are painted, and the back of the tile is covered with an airtight glass tissue. The supporting structure is an exposed Connect™ T24 grid of galvanized steel. The system is clean room-classified according to ISO 3.

 

The weight of the system is 3-4 kg/m². The tiles should be secured to the grid with Connect Hygiene clips in order to withstand air pressure.

  • The tiles withstand a permanent ambient relative humidity of up to 95% at 30°C, in accordance with EN 13964.
