Sound insulating floating floor panel designed to reduce airborne and impact sound transmission.
Suitable for use over concrete, existing timber floors or directly over joists.
Hush Panel 28 is a floating flooring panel for use over concrete, existing timber floors or directly over joists (the FFL is 26 mm over an existing floor base, 36 mm over joists).
Hush Panel 28 comprises of tongued and grooved P5 moisture resistant chipboard panels which are laid in a conventional broken bond pattern.
All tongued and grooved joints are glued using Hush Bond adhesive and the floor is kept clear of the walls using Hush Seal 20 pressed into the 10–15 mm expansion gap. When Hush Panels are laid directly over joists, a 10 mm Hush Joist strip should be stapled to the top of the joists.
