  • Excellent acoustic performance due to the clear void between the two stud frames.

How HD1054 is formed:

  • Create two frames of 50x100mm timber stud work.
  • Isolate the stud and track from the floor and ceiling structure using the Hush Heavy Duty Isolation Tape.
  • Ensure there is a minimum 50mm clear gap between the two stud frames which remains clear.
  • Insulate within the stud frames using the Hush-Slab 100 Sound Absorber. This must be installed tightly within the stud frame and continue to ensure the cavity between the frames remains clear.
  • Face each stud frame with two layers of 15mm Soundbloc plasterboards.
  • Seal the perimeters of the plasterboards using Hush Acoustic Sealant.
