HD1049 Hush Mat 15 RB System - Acoustic Floor and Ceiling System

With its minimal build-up, the HD1049 Hush Mat 15 RB System provides an ideal solution for to incorporate sound insulation in the separating floors of conversion projects featuring timber joists.

HD1049 has the dual benefit of being a thin floor and ceiling construction system that complies to all UK Building Regulations to address both impact and airborne sound transmission.

The system can be laid on timber floors and is principally utilising the high performing Hush Slab 100, a sound absorber, and Hush Mat 15, a rubber impact sound reducing material. It is a system that offers high sound reduction potential when installed correctly.

How the HD1049 system is formed:

• Hush Mat 15 is be bonded to the timber structure using the Hush Contact Adhesive.
• Suitable floor finishes can then be installed over the Hush Mat 15 with the correct installation guidance. The timber deck over the joists can be the original floorboards or a 18mm/22mm tongue and groove chipboard/plywood deck.
• Hush Slab 100 is fitted tightly between the joists with no air gaps.
• Hush Bar Deep Resilient Bars are fixed horizontally to the underside of joists at 600mm centres.
• Two layers of 15mm Soundbloc plasterboard are then installed to the underside of the Hush Bar Deep Resilient Bars.
• All perimeters are sealed with Hush Acoustic Sealant prior to skimming.
