Application

High performing acoustic floor and ceiling system for use in conversion, refurbishment and new build developments. Suitable for domestic and commercial buildings.

Description

A fully developed economical sound insulation system used to form separating floor/ ceiling constructions in conversion, refurbishment and new build developments.

The HD1025 is a complete acoustic system that can be used as a flooring and ceiling solution. The system is a separating floor solution compromising of a Hush Panel 17 floating floor - a thin overlay board which minimises floor build where required without compromising performance – an 18mm chipboard deck and the Hush MF ceiling system.

To ensure acoustic insulation levels are maximised, the system also makes use of the Hush Slab 100 sound absorbing in-fill panels and Gyproc Soundbloc boards.

Hush HD1025 complies to all UK Building Regulations - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Section 5 (Scotland) and Part G (Northern Ireland)

Installation process:

  • Hush Panel 17 features tongue and groove joints which are glued using the Hush Bond Panel Adhesive, laid over 18mm/22mm chipboard deck, with all perimeters sealed using Hush Seal 20.
  • The Hush MF system is then installed to the underside of the joists (creating a minimum 150mm void from the underside of the joists to the back of the plasterboard lining).
  • Hush Slab 100 Sound Absorber is installed tightly together within the ceiling void.
  • A double plasterboard layer is installed to the underside of the Hush MF system. The plasterboard lining should consist of 19mm Plasterboard Plank and 12.5mm Gyproc Soundbloc.
  • All perimeters are then sealed using Hush Acoustic Sealant prior to skimming.
