Application

Suitable for use in new build timber frame projects.

Description

The HD1035 Hush System TF Robust from Hush Acoustics provides an effective solution for insulating separating floors in timber frame construction.

It is a resilient bar system that utilises Hush Deep resilient bars to break sound transmission paths in the timber joist/floor with additional sound absorption provided by layers of Hush Slab 100 and Hush Slab 25. The system's design provides a useful void within the ceiling construction which can be used for services.

HD1035 is a fully tested system for assured performance and it can be used for Robust Detail projects. It is also compliant with all the UK Building Regulations relating to acoustic insulation - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Part G (Northern Ireland) and Section 5 (Scotland).

How the HD1035 Hush System TF Robust is formed:

  • 18mm tongue and groove chipboard and 19mm plasterboard plank are installed in opposite directions with staggered joints over Hush Batten 70 acoustic battens.
  • The perimeters of the chipboard and plank are isolated using the Hush RD Flanking Strip (ensuring that the Hush Batten 70 acoustic battens are installed at the correct centres over the structural deck).
  • Hush Slab 100 Sound Absorber is fitted tightly between the joists, to the underside of the joists.
  • Hush Deep Resilient Bars are installed. The bars are fitted horizontally to the joists at the required centres.
  • 19mm Plasterboard Plank and 12.5mm Soundbloc is then secured to Hush Bar Deep resilient bars, with all perimeters sealed prior to skimming.

Acoustic Performance *

Impact (L’nT,w) - 50 dB

Airborne (DnT,w) - 65 dB

Airborne (DnT,w + Ctr) - 59 dB

* Results based on all Hush components being used in the Hush System HD1035. Results also based on timber frame construction with a minimum 225mm I Joist.
