GL 251 Loft Access Doors

The GL251-03 range of lockable drop down loft access doors are ideally suited for properties with shared accommodation to provide protection from unauthorized access in to the loft space. They are supplied with a twist action key lock and are available in the same insulation variations as the standard GL250-03 range.

Product options:

- Type GL 251/03 Drop Down Loft Door:

• A lockable access door, ideally suited to properties with shared accommodation, providing protection from unauthorised access to the loft space.
• Manufactured from high impact injection moulded polystyrene with expanded polyurethane seals, the units are insulated with 50 mm of expanded polystyrene.
• Doors have a lockable, three point closing mechanism together with a unique hinge system, allowing the door to be hinged down or completely removed from the frame, providing unobstructed access to the loft.
• Units are light textured, white finished, and suitable for receiving alternative paint finishes.
• Draft seals are located between both the frame and the ceiling, and the door and the frame, preventing the problem of warm, moist air entering the roof space.
• The products have a fitting size of 562 x 726 mm with a picture frame surround with an overall size of: 656 x 821 mm.

- Type GL 251/03 L (PU) Lockable Drop Down Loft Door Insulated to Part L Regulations:

• A lockable access door, ideally suited to properties with shared accommodation, providing protection from unauthorised access to the loft space.
• Units comply with the insulation requirements of Part L of The Building Regulations.
• Manufactured from high impact injection moulded polystyrene expanded polyurethane seals. The door is insulated with 60 mm expanded polyurethane insulation slab to achieve a U-value of below 0.35 W/m².
• Doors have a lockable, three point closing mechanism together with a unique hinge system, allowing the door to be hinged down or completely removed from the frame, providing unobstructed access to the loft.
• Draught seals are located to seal between both the frame and the ceiling and the door and the frame, meeting the requirements of The Building Regulations.
• Units are light textured, white finished, and suitable for receiving alternative paint finishes.
• The products have a fitting size of 562 x 726 mm with a picture frame surround with an overall size of: 656 x 821 mm.

- Type GL 251/03 L (EPS) Lockable Drop Down Loft Door Insulated to Part L Regulations:

• A lockable access door, ideally suited to properties with shared accommodation, providing protection from unauthorised access to the loft space.
• Units comply with the insulation requirements of Part L of The Building Regulations.
• Manufactured from high impact injection moulded polystyrene with expanded polyurethane seals.
• The door is insulated with 110 mm expanded polyurethane insulation slab to achieve a U-value of below 0.35 W/m².
• Doors have a lockable, three point closing mechanism together with a unique hinge system, allowing the door to be hinged down or completely removed from the frame, providing unobstructed access to the loft.
• Draught seals are located to seal between both the frame and the ceiling and the door and the frame, meeting the requirements of The Building Regulations.
• Units are light textured, white finished, and suitable for receiving alternative paint finishes.
