Foam Glass Aggregate
Application

Foamed glass aggregate is a sustainable replacement building material in:

  • GlassCrete (limecrete) floors.
  • Floor slabs, providing a complete replacement for conventional hardcore, blinding, oversite concrete and expanded polystyrene construction or precast beam and block and polystyrene insulation flooring.
  • Green roofs and landscaping (lightweight fill material).
  • Slope stabilization.
  • Vaults.
  • Sports turf.
  • Backfilling of pools and garden decoration.

Description

Aerated foam glass insulation aggregate manufactured from 100% recycled glass. The product is used in the same way as coated clay aggregate, but is capable of being used as a load bearing hardcore and also offers better insulation, therefore requiring less depth for similar thermal performance.

Chemically inert and does not present any hazard to health and safety in relation to its installation or use. It is frost, rodent, bacteria and rot resistant, prevents condensation in the building component, it is self-draining, incombustible to Class A1, emits no gas (odour free) and provides an anti-capillary action against rising water. CE marked to EN 13055-2.
