Fields DuraCore Doorset
Composite doorset.
Door leaves constructed from 44 or 54 mm high performance multi-layer particleboard. The density and finish of the product permits the manufacture of door leaves without perimeter framing and additional sub-facing materials. Available as a doorset or door leaf only and can be partnered with Fields Wall Panelling for a fully coordinated design.

Glazing: Fields DuraCore Doorsets are factory glazed, when specified using clear laminated fire resisting glass in conjunction with intumescent materials. The glass is retained using a purpose-made, pin-fixed, hardwood splayed and rebated cloak type or square section flush check glazing bead. The maximum permitted glazed area per leaf must not exceed 1.9 m² throughout the configuration range and is dependent on the fire rating. Aperture shape is unrestricted and may be in multiple or single paned form providing glazing is not less than 100 mm from the door leaf edges, and not less than 80 mm between apertures. Over panels: One piece over panels not greater than the width of door leaf/ leaves are permitted in all configurations with a separating transom. A rebated or square interface between door leaf and over panel is also permitted without transom. Maximum allowed heights are:
Lipping: All doors will be supplied with hardwood lippings, concealed or exposed and square, rounded or rebated. Doors will normally be supplied with lippings to both vertical and horizontal edges. Ironmongery: An extensive range of ironmongery is permitted for use with Fields DuraCore doorset. Concealed cableways to facilitate electro-magnetic closing/ latching mechanisms and acoustic seals are also permitted within the scope of the fire assessment. |
