A single blade fire damper for HVAC ductwork.
Fire dampers are suitable for installation in vertical and horizontal passages of fire-separating constructions. The fire damper can be installed into:
Additional applications may be available, please reference product Technical Specifications for more detail.
A Fire Damper is used to prevent fire and reduce smoke spreading from one compartment to another through the air ductwork system which may penetrate fire separating walls and floors.

Actuator | Mandik. |
Control module | Not required. Communication and control module MDCM. Manufacturer guidanceThe MDCM damper control module is connected on a bi-directional communication loop back to a control panel, typically located at the FCC. This accessory is only required with MANDIK control systems. |
Cladding | Not required. Protective cladding boards. Manufacturer guidanceProtective cladding boards must be used as part of the penetration filling of installation with ablative coated batt. Boards are made of PROMATECT-H, thickness 10 or 15 mm according to the damper size (SUPALUX, thickness 9 or 15 mm can be used as an alternative). |
Frame | Not required. Reinforcing frame VRM2-B. Manufacturer guidanceIf the damper is installed outside the fire separation construction with insulation from ISOVER and fire resistance is ≥ EI 90 S, VRM2-B reinforcement frame must be used. |
Duct connection | Mandik FFDM breakaway joint. Guidance for specification option: FFDM allows a breakaway connection between a duct and fire damper according to DW/145. The FFDM is a flanged breakaway joint with a plastic pad which will melt at 80°C, allowing the duct to break away from the damper and ensure the dampers integrity is maintained. Refer to FFDM – Technical specifications for options and insert requirements. Breakaway joint (supplied by others). Guidance for specification option: Insert requirements. Manufacturer guidanceBreakaway joints are a required accessory for the fire dampers. These joints are required on both sides of the damper. |
