Application

Facade applications. Very high degree of prefabrication - ideally suited for large projects.

Description

Environmentally friendly solid timber unitized curtain walling system based on the RAICO THERM+ H-I facade system. Due to the very high level of prefabrication, large projects and time-critical construction sites can be assembled efficiently and just in time.

ELEMENT+ H-I also meets strict urban planning requirements regarding ecology and energy efficiency.

Available in a range of system types.

Features and benefits:

  • Suitable for large projects due to very high level of prefabrication.
  • Optimized for just-in-time assembly.
  • Based on the proven RAICO THERM+ H-I facade system.
  • Sight-line width frame: 50 mm.
  • Possible glazing thickness: 40–64 mm.
  • Aluminium savings compared to commercially available aluminium element facade: approximately 60%.
  • Can withstand up to 600 kg glass weight (and up to 1000 kg element weight).
  • Integrated drainage at the continuous gasket in three levels.
  • System uses isothermal lines to avoid the formation of condensate and control surface temperature.
  • A range of profiles, angles and connections are available dependent on project requirements.
  • Extensive system accessories.

TC timber connector - SOLO.

Guidance for specification option:

  • Tensioned with nail screws.
  • Safe and tested dispersal of glass weights.
  • Inserted invisibly between mullion and transom.
  • Tested according to ETA-13/0765.
  • Safe dispersal of the glass loads and resulting torsion forces via the timber structure.
  • Seven installation depths for transom depths from 60 to 300 mm.
  • Installation in a few simple steps and minimum processing.
  • Integrated longitudinal stop and transom contact pressure over the entire depth for a perfect T-connection.

TC timber connector - KOMBI.

Guidance for specification option:

  • Tensioned with nail screws through the transom base profile.
  • Safe and tested dispersal of glass weights.
  • Inserted invisibly between mullion and transom.
  • Tested according to ETA-13/0765.
  • Safe dispersal of the glass loads and resulting torsion forces via the timber structure.

Perimeter seals

Exterior gasket.

Guidance for specification option:

  • Various exterior gaskets and insulating block options available.
  • Gradual adaptation of the insulation value.
  • Maximum thermal insulation up to Uf = 0.80 W/(m²K) including screw influence.
  • Certified passive house curtain wall.
  • Economic solution.

Transom and mullion gaskets.

Guidance for specification option:

  • Optimized shape for maximum thermal insulation and efficient fabrication.
  • Complete covering and sealing of the base profile.
  • Perfect and easy fitting on the structural profile (without silicone).
  • Two options of gaskets with flaps for transom and base drainage as well as draining within the continuous gasket at the structural connections.
  • Reliable drainage in two or three levels by simply notching.
  • Special accessories for all applications, e. g. transom and mullion sealing elements.

System types

Manufacturer's standard.
Passive House.

Guidance for specification option:

The standard THERM+ system can easily be upgraded to passive house certified standard with minimal additional components. Passive house projects can therefore be fitted with energy saving glazing in a generous, cost effective way, independent of their supporting projects.

Ventilation

Pressure compensation via mullion – connection below/ on top.
Pressure compensation via mullion and synthetic sealing piece.
Pressure compensation of extra large transoms via pressure and cover profiles.
