Application

Suitable as a universal Rainscreen support system, DryKlad® Aluminium Brackets provide adjustable structural support for face-fixed cladding and secret-fix panel systems when used in conjunction with DryKlad® secret-fix supporting profiles.

Description

DryKlad® Aluminium Brackets are engineered structural carrier components used within ventilated rainscreen façade systems. As primary load-bearing connectors, they form the critical interface between the building substrate and the façade support rails T-rails, L-profiles, and box profiles.

The brackets are designed to transfer vertical loads (dead load) and horizontal loads (wind load) safely and efficiently into the primary structure, providing a stable, adjustable, and durable subframe for external cladding systems.

Thanks to their certified performance, high mechanical strength, and compatibility with a wide range of substrates—including concrete, SFS, masonry, and steel—the brackets support façade systems across new-build and refurbishment applications, including medium-rise and high-rise developments.

A2-Rated Thermal Isolator Compatibility

When used in conjunction with the DryKlad® A2 Thermal Isolator Pad, the system delivers enhanced thermal efficiency while maintaining full non-combustibility across the subframe assembly.

The A2 isolator minimises cold bridging, improves façade U-value performance, and ensures compliance with ADB and HRB regulations where A1/A2 materials are mandatory. This makes the DryKlad® bracket and isolator combination suitable for high-rise and safety-critical façade applications without compromising structural integrity or fire performance.

Compatible Façade Materials

DryKlad® Aluminium Brackets are fully compatible with a broad range of façade finishes, giving architects, designers, and contractors maximum flexibility in material selection. Supported cladding types include:

Aluminium

Aluminium Composite

Brickslip Systems

Composite Panels

Copper

Fibre Cement

High Pressure Laminate

Insulated Panels

Mineral Composite

Rock Laminate

Stainless Steel

Stone

Weatherboard

Zinc

This versatility allows DryKlad® Aluminium Brackets especially when paired with the A2 isolator to be used in a wide range of architectural expressions and performance-driven façade solutions, from standard Rainscreen applications to fully compliant HRB rated systems.

Thermal break

DryKlad® Standard Isolator.

Guidance for specification option:

Polyamide 6 (PA 6) is a type of nylon, and is our standard product of thermal insulator pads. These pads provide insulation and prevent heat transfer between different elements of a building. PA 6 is known for its thermal stability, mechanical strength, and resistance to wear and abrasion. The pads are placed on the toe of the carrier console by pushing and clicking. Using a fastener (bolt, anchor, etc.) depending of the type of foundation (concrete, brick, etc.), the two elements are fastened to the construction.

  • Thermal Performance to EN 12667: 0.120 W/mK.
  • Reaction to Fire EN 13501-1:2019: Class E.

DryKlad® A2 Thermal Isolator Pad.

Guidance for specification option:

The DryKlad® A2 Thermal Isolator Pad provides a non-combustible thermal break solution engineered to minimise heat transfer between façade support brackets and primary building structures. Developed for rainscreen and HRB-compliant façade systems, this isolator pad achieves A2-s1,d0 reaction to fire classification in accordance with BS EN 13501-1, offering enhanced fire safety and thermal performance. Manufactured from an A2-rated inorganic composite, the isolator pad combines low thermal conductivity, high compressive strength, and dimensional stability, maintaining long-term integrity even under high structural loads and fluctuating environmental conditions.

  • Reaction to Fire to BS EN 13501-1: A2-s1,d0.
  • Thermal Conductivity (λ) to BS EN ISO 10456: ~0.45 W/m·K.
  • Compressive Strength to BS EN ISO 604: >100 MPa.
  • Density: ~1.6 g/cm³.
  • Moisture Absorption: <0.5%.
  • Service temperature up to 180°C continuous.
  • Thickness: 10 mm.

Recycled content

As defined in clause 7.8 of BS EN ISO 14021

50% recycled content (approximately).

Guidance for specification option:

The aluminium used in the DryKlad Rainscreen Cladding Support System—comprising brackets and rails—contains approximately 50% recycled content, in line with upstream supply chain declarations. This includes material recovered and reprocessed from manufacturing waste and post-industrial sources. The use of recycled aluminium significantly reduces embodied carbon, contributing to improved environmental performance for façade systems and alignment with sustainability assessment schemes such as BREEAM and LEED.
