An external heating system that can be used beneath virtually any surface for automated ice and snow clearance. A number of exterior heating cables are available to protect ramps, driveways, car parks, pavements, steps, loading areas and bridges. Tyre tracks can be heated on long driveways to minimise running and installation costs.
System includes an outdoor heating cable, a driveway heating system thermostat and a ground temperature and moisture sensor.

Exterior heating cables can be installed using Heat Fix metal fixing strips or cable-tied onto reinforcement mesh.
Specialist cables for hot asphalt:
Specialist cables designed for hot asphalt are available and can be laid directly beneath tarmac. A standard cable can also be used but it will need to be covered with a minimum of 10 mm of sand and the asphalt cooled before laying. The asphalt layer should be a minimum of 55 mm thick.
