Manual aluminium framed internal glazed system with the door sliding over a glazed screen. Door and corrosion resistant sliding track mechanism to be severe duty with low opening and closing forces.
Most suited for use in hospital environments where ease of use and flexibility are required. Flo-Motion doors feature cassettes with recirculating ball guides, sliding on a low resistance linear track with damper mechanisms at the fully opened and closed positions.
The high number of balls ensure continuous contact with bearing surfaces, as well as the contained roller, which increases the slide load rate capability and decreases the movement force. The doors can be easily opened and closed by a child and with no power assistance.
Our sliding doors offer excellent light transfer, privacy, ease of use and more importantly, a better overall patient experience.
The door set to be formed from non-thermal aluminium extruded box section including a frame consisting of two jambs (152mm and 100mm x 45mm profiles) and a 125mm x 100mm transom bar with a 7mm reinforced face. The sliding leaf will close against the "slam post" which forms part of the jamb. The frame to fit within the structural opening with the door sliding over a glazed screen. The fixed glazed screen is secured within the frame structure by two concealed aluminium channels. Glass is secured using appropriate beads & gaskets. The aluminium profiles will accept various glazing options, including integral blinds and switchable glass.
Formed from various 100mm x 45mm and 47mm aluminium profiles to BS EN 12020-2:2022. The door to be prepared with a concealed bottom channel to operate with a floor mounted nylon guide.
The door to employ a "low friction" recirculating bearing system sliding in an aluminium track with anti-derailing feature and interchange section. Door carriers to be stainless steel and "damper" mechanisms (not self or soft closing) to be active when the door is at the closed and fully open positions. The pelmet will conceal the track and have a "hold open" lid for ease of maintenance.
Durability – Externally tested for Axis to 1,000,000 cycles exceeding the requirements of BS EN1527:2019.
Sustainability – EPD verified to EN 15804:2019.
