Application
ARDEX X 78 MICROTEC Flexible Standard Set Semi-Pourable Floor Tile Adhesive is suitable for:
- Solid bed fixing large-format floor tiles.
- Fixing fully vitrified or porcelain tiles and other tiles with low porosity, as well as glass and porcelain mosaics and terrazzo.
- Internal and external situations, including swimming pools.
- Adhering strongly to most substrates such as concrete, cement and sand screeds, heated sub-floors, anhydrite screeds, and existing ceramic tiled surfaces.
Description
A grey, rapid-hardening, flexible, fibre-reinforced adhesive mortar for fixing all types of ceramic floor tiles in external and internal situations, including swimming pools. The mixed mortar has an easily workable consistency to facilitate floor tile fixing. The mortar adheres strongly onto concrete and cement: sand screeds, including heated sub-floors.
Features and benefits:
- Semi-pourable consistency ideal for solid bed fixing large format floor tiles.
- Ultra rapid setting and hardening – walk on and grout after only 90 minutes.
- The BS EN 12004 C2 E designation classifies the adhesive as an ‘improved, cementitious adhesive with extended open time characteristics’.
- The additional characteristics in accordance with BS EN 12004 are a tensile adhesion strength of greater than 1 N/mm² adhesion value, greater than 1 N/mm² after water immersion, greater than 1 N/mm² after heat aging and greater than 1 N/mm² after freeze thaw cycling.
- The mixed mortar has an easily workable, semi-pourable consistency to facilitate large format floor tile fixing.
