A high durability, one part polysulphide sealant, for brickwork, concrete, copings, and perimeter sealing of windows - ISO 11600 F12.5P.
A high durability, one part polysulphide sealant, suitable for perimeter sealing of timber windows.
Relatively slow initial cure means that this sealant is not recommended for joints wider than 25 mm or for use in public areas/ schools, or areas liable to vandalism.
It is compatible with both paint and stain finishes including water borne products, but excessive movement may cause the paint to crack and induce tears in the sealant.
Resistant to most alkalis and dilute acids, petrol, diesel, jet fuel and many solvents and vegetable oils. Should not cause migratory staining on concrete or masonry.
Very good UV resistance.
Burns, but will not readily ignite, so does not constitute a fire hazard.
Correctly applied, the sealant should not require maintenance, and has an anticipated life in excess of 20 years.
Health and safety:
The product is labelled as harmful; its use should be recorded in the project Health and Safety Plan.
+5°C to +50°C.
14–28 days, depending on joint configuration and atmospheric conditions.
A combined joint filler/ bond breaker, such as closed cell foam polyethylene rod, should always be used to ensure that the sealant adheres only to the joint faces and not to the back. Bond breaker tape should be used where the joint has been packed out with fibre-board.
Use Arbo Primer 925 for brickwork and concrete. Primers are available to suit other substrates – refer to technical literature for details.
