Suitable for bonding mirrors to plastered or tiled walls in bathrooms and kitchens.

Description

One-part, moisture curing, solvent free, modified polymer adhesive for bonding mirrors.


Features and benefits:

  • Not appropriate for use with safety backed mirrors, or for bonding mirrors to friable surfaces.
  • Good UV resistance.
  • Anticipated service life in excess of 20 years.

+5 to +35°C.

Service temperature

-40 to +150°C.

Working time

Skinning time at 20°C with 65% relative humidity: 5 minutes.

Cure time

1–2 mm every 24 hours at +20°C with 65% relative humidity.

Guidance for specification option:

The sealant forms a surface skin within 30 minutes.

Chemical resistance

Resistance to many alkalis and dilute acids.

Guidance for specification option:

Organic solvents may cause the sealant to swell and lose adhesion, but do not directly dissolve the sealant.

UV resistance

Good.

Anticipated service life

20 years+.

Storage

Storage life: 9 months in original unopened package stored correctly.

Joint width

6 mm (minimum single application); 20 mm (maximum single application).

Guidance for specification option:

Joint depth:

  • Porous substrates: 10 mm (minimum); 10 mm (maximum).
  • Non-porous substrates: 6 mm (minimum); 10 mm (maximum).
