Aquaproof wetroom tanking system has been specifically designed to prevent leakages from tiled areas. This system carries the CE mark and is independently tested to EAD 030352-00-0503 (ETAG 22).
Application
The Aquaproof Wetroom Tanking System is used to provide the complete waterproofing protection of substrates prior to fixing wall and floor tiles.
Aquaproof is also used under vinyl flooring as a secondary form of waterproofing and is suitable for use in internal domestic and commercial situations.
All corners and edges must be reinforced with Aquaproof Tape.
- Compatible with a wide range of substrates: plasterboard, ply sheeting, shower tray formers, MDF, cementitious screed and most commonly available waterproof construction boards.
- For use in the following areas below wall and floor tiles or vinyl flooring:
- Bathrooms
- Shower areas and Wetrooms
- WCs
- Offsite bathroom pods
- Changing rooms, saunas and steam rooms
And
- In areas of frequent wetting.
- Waterproofing of internal areas at risk of flooding such as kitchens.
Description
The Aquaproof Wetroom Tanking System has been developed to prevent water leakage from tiled areas, including wetrooms, shower areas, bathrooms and kitchens.
Aquaproof can be applied in a variety of ways including by roller, brush or can be sprayed applied with an airless spray system.
Once applied, the Aquaproof System can tolerate normal levels of movement in a room and does not become brittle with age. It is technically-advanced and comes with a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty; it is independently-certified as meeting the requirements of ETAG 22 'watertight covering kits for wetroom floors and walls' and holds its own European Technical Approval certificate.
By specifying Aquaproof, a fully-tanked room can be achieved, preventing damage to walls/ floors, and leakage into adjacent rooms.

- Aquaproof Primer – 2 kg unit.
System performance:
- Conforms to BS 5385-4:2015.
- Tested against ETAG 22 (part 1),” Liquid applied watertight covering for wet rooms with wearing surface.”
- Conforms to NHBC regulations - "Products should be UKCA, UKNI or CE marked to EAD 030352-00-0503 ‘Liquid applied watertight covering kits for wet room floors and/or walls with or without a wearing surface"
- Crack bridging to 0.4 mm.
- Fully watertight upon cure.
- Tested as watertight around joints and penetrations.
