Granular sodium bentonite, used primarily as a detailing accessory product within waterproofing systems.
Application
- Fill material – to fill cavities or voids in the substrate before installing the waterproofing membrane/ system.
- Fillet material – when hydrated to form a ‘paste’ around penetrations and horizontal/ vertical junctions.
- Buried roof layer – 3 mm bed of ActiFill is applied to the top of tunnels or buried roof structures (minimum 1 m below fully compacted well graded soil) before application of ActiTex (seek advice from manufacturer on this application).
Description
ActiFill is a treated granular sodium bentonite used primarily as a detailing accessory product within waterproofing systems. ActiFill can be used dry or pre-hydrated, and in confinement will form a dense, waterproof ‘paste’ to act as a detailing compound.
Features and benefits:
- When applied with ActiTex, the sodium bentonite will combine to form a seamless, homogeneous water system.
- Free swell rating of ActiFill is 2 g sifted into deionised water to swell and occupy a minimum volume of 16 cc.
