Application

Green roof and landscaping drainage applications.

Description

ABG Roofdrain 25mm provides drainage for green roof and landscaping applications.

The ABG Roofdrain board comprises a cuspated drainage core with integrated filter and protection geotextiles. Once the cuspated reservoirs are full, the rainfall is channelled into overflow inlets at the top of the drainage board and down into the rainwater outlets.

The drainage board stops the growing media layer from becoming waterlogged following heavy downpours, and the upper textile prevents soil from blocking the drainage pathways. In spells of prolonged dry weather, the Roofdrain provides a store of water within the cuspates for irrigation of the planting via evapotranspiration.

Features and benefits:

  • Efficient and cost-effective
  • Design life 120 years (manufacturer’s declaration)
  • Upper and lower geotextiles with overlap for joining adjacent sections
  • Excellent resistance to microbes
