50 mm curtain wall system with mullion drained and ventilated profiles.
Curtain walling applications including all building types from ground floor to high-rise projects. Please note the system is not designed for pitched or faceted elevations.
The Kestrel 50CW curtain wall system is designed for all building types from ground floor to high-rise projects. The system provides a high-performance and cost-effective solution for fabricators across the UK.
The 50CW system meets BS EN 13830 standards, ensuring excellent resistance to wind, water, and air infiltration, with thermal properties as low as Uf 0.88 W/m²K. The innovative transom-to-transom design reduces material waste and simplifies stock management with a universal glazing rebate gasket.
With the flex injection assembly, we ensure precise and reliable sealing at all joints, reducing fabrication time and optimizing performance in commercial applications. The 50CW integrates seamlessly with Kestrel's 75 mm window and ground floor treatments, as well as commercial door systems, providing a consistent and practical façade solution.
Profiles are square cut allowing for optimum use of materials with minimal offcuts. Transom to mullion joints use T cleats mechanically fixed.
A single glazing rebate gasket is used on both mullion and transom, for simplicity of stock and installation. The glazing rebate gasket provides multiple drainage levels for maximum design freedom and maintains the overlap drainage principle at all mullion/transom joints. The gasket injection system, including an injection piece ensures consistent and reliable sealing of the transom/mullion
connections.
A range of accessories are available to accommodate window and door inserts, perimeter detailing and connection back to the building structure. Please refer to specific window and door product manuals for their manufacture. Window and door inserts need to be suitably fixed to the curtain wall to carry any loads expected through normal operation and use.
Glass carriers and cruciform glass carriers can be matched to the glazing thickness and infill weight.
