Insulation | Low density (10–30 kg/m³) glass mineral wool.Guidance for specification option: If required for acoustic or thermal performance. Not required. |
Linings | Inner and outer layers: PROMATECT®-250 board thickness determined by section factor (A/V), fire resistance period and limiting steel temperature.Guidance for specification option: Minimum PROMAT PROMATECT®-250 thickness for compartmentation on both sides of steel (when one-sided fixing detail is applied to both sides of the steel): 60 minutes: 15 mm; 90 minutes: 20 mm; 120 minutes: 25 mm. Where protection to the structural steel and compartmentation are required, thicker of the two boards should be used. Manufacturer guidance

Third-party certification | As detailed in UL-EU Certificate No. UL-EU-01220a-CPR. Guidance for specification option: Note: Depending on site conditions, alternative fixing methods may be required for beams and columns, one- or two-sided exposure or interface with other building elements. These fixing methods are outside the scope of current EN test methods. These recommendations are based on the principles of EN 13381-4 and given in good faith. They should be approved by the responsible designer or through independent third party assessment. |
Installation | Encasement boards must overlap the structure either side of the steel by a minimum of 75 mm. |
