Application

Suitable for application by trowel in interior and fully exposed environments. Applied by plastering techniques enabling repairs to be completed without the need to introduce spray plant onto the site. Suitable substrates include: Existing Cafco FENDOLITE® MII, concrete, non-primed and primed steel. Concrete curing agents should not be used.

Description

Cement-based wet mix spray producing a monolithic coating able to withstand thermal shocks experienced typically in a high intensity hydrocarbon fire.

Concrete structures in particular will be protected from explosive spalling when protected using Cafco FENDOLITE® MII.

Although low in density, thus significantly reducing dead load, Cafco FENDOLITE® MII is highly durable and will not crack or spall under mechanical impact.

Used for application to construction elements such as concrete or individual steel sections

Practical thickness (minimum): 

8 mm when unreinforced, 15 mm when reinforced.

Insert requirement. The thickness of the fire protection for a given period of fire resistance in a cellulosic type fire relates to the A/V ratio of the section. For advice on thickness calculations for hollow sections, cellular beams, castellated sections, composite floors, upgrading of concrete slabs and more complex situations, contact manufacturer.

Coverage

100 m²/tonne.

Theoretical, at 15 mm thickness. Apply one or more coats as required.

Cure

By air drying.

Initial set:

2–6 hours.

At 20°C and 50% relative humidity.
