ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPANY

ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPANY

Ted Todd Fine Wood Floors

We were approached by this central London Asset Management company when they were refurbishing their offices. They were looking for something that had character, and that was of the highest quality, that could be used for flooring, cladding, and bespoke desks. Seaforth, from our Rare Finds portfolio, was ultimately specified due to its unique story and qualities. We reclaimed Seaforth from a disused warehouse on the Liverpool docks. In World War 2, the dock endured heavy bombing which led to fire damage. This historical damage was still present when we reclaimed the 6 metre longleaf pine beams.
AUDLEY VILLAGES’ NIGHTINGALE PLACE

AUDLEY VILLAGES’ NIGHTINGALE PLACE

Ted Todd Fine Wood Floors

Audley Villages’ new development in Clapham – Nightingale Place, a fully-serviced luxury retirement development – was a first for the company in London. A complete new build overlooking Clapham Common, the 94 apartments and penthouses surround their own facilities including a restaurant, bar bistro, spa, library, lounge, and cinema. This fully-serviced luxury retirement development is aimed at the top end of the market. The brief for interior design practice Bernard Interiors was to create a sophisticated sanctuary in the city. Additionally one of the biggest challenges for the interior design as a whole was to create the essential Audley look and feel – as though the property has been lived in for years – to maintain Audley’s strong brand identity across this completely new development. This considered brief guided our Residential Specification Consultant to provide commercial flooring suggestions which resulted in three different floors being specified for different areas of the project.

The award winning Brasserie Blanc at Fulham Reach is a destination restaurant conceptualised by 3Stories, that offsets plush velvets against industrial elements. The site’s history as a Haig distillery is evident in in its central bar, with its faceted front and cut glass pendants reminiscent of whiskey tumblers. Our copper herringbone – Gaslamp – was used throughout the space, adding a warmth that is evocative of the amber hue of whiskey. Throughout the space, Gaslamp seamlessly transitions into Hoxton, a skip-sawn herringbone with hand rolled edges that has a raw, industrial aesthetic.

This modern barn conversion in the Cheshire countryside uses Northbank Pine, one of our recent Rare Finds, throughout the space, seamlessly flowing from room to room. These wide, long planks were reclaimed from a warehouse on the banks of the River Mersey. The boards were restored, then brushed and finished with naked skin lacquer to ensure there was no colour change to the pale, elevated grain. Claremont, from our Bold Surfaces portfolio, was used on the ceilings. Painted and then worn down by hand to show unique saw marks, it gives a minimalistic, modern aesthetic that complements the pale walls.
