We were approached by this central London Asset Management company when they were refurbishing their offices. They were looking for something that had character, and that was of the highest quality, that could be used for flooring, cladding, and bespoke desks. Seaforth, from our Rare Finds portfolio, was ultimately specified due to its unique story and qualities. We reclaimed Seaforth from a disused warehouse on the Liverpool docks. In World War 2, the dock endured heavy bombing which led to fire damage. This historical damage was still present when we reclaimed the 6 metre longleaf pine beams.
Brasserie Blanc

Brasserie Blanc

The award winning Brasserie Blanc at Fulham Reach is a destination restaurant conceptualised by 3Stories, that offsets plush velvets against industrial elements. The site’s history as a Haig distillery is evident in in its central bar, with its faceted front and cut glass pendants reminiscent of whiskey tumblers. Our copper herringbone – Gaslamp – was used throughout the space, adding a warmth that is evocative of the amber hue of whiskey. Throughout the space, Gaslamp seamlessly transitions into Hoxton, a skip-sawn herringbone with hand rolled edges that has a raw, industrial aesthetic.

Bespoke Parquet de Versailles panels, bespoke planks and chevrons were crafted for the project, resulting in an intricate yet striking look. Internationally-acclaimed chef, Martha Ortiz, has brought her celebrated Mexican cuisine to London, at the InterContinental hotel on Park Lane. Deep, earthy tones paired with soft leather brings an on-trend, luxe feel to the space, which is complemented by our bespoke reclaimed Pine End Grain wood floor. These End Grain planks are cut across the tree rather than along it, and create a striking pattern that adds interest to the space. 15mm thick and constructed from 2-ply European Oak, durability was an extremely important factor when specifying this floor.

On the edge of Lake Geneva is the Hotel de la Paix, an iconic luxury hotel that is part of the Ritz-Carlton group. Fiskebar, the hotel’s restaurant, is a Nordic-inspired concept that focuses on local ingredients & organic produce. B3 Designers were brought on board to create a space that married contemporary Nordic design with the quality and simplicity of the dining concept. B3 approached us to craft handmade, with our Jacobin parquet de Versailles panels ultimately being chosen. Complimenting the warm atmosphere with their rich, aged tone achieved by applying an organic restoration oil after fuming.

Big Portuguese flavours demanded an equally striking floor at the recently opened Soho Nando’s. For this unique space, Nando’s commissioned a bespoke floor that combined rhombi in tones of brown and smoky grey, with accents of copper leaf. The result was a striking floor in an eye catching design. Handmade and hand finished to specification in our Cheshire workshops, our team worked closely with STAC Architecture to design and create the floor to a tight deadline. 20mm and 2-ply thick, the floor was hand finished with naked skin lacquer for a natural yet extremely durable look.

This modern barn conversion in the Cheshire countryside uses Northbank Pine, one of our recent Rare Finds, throughout the space, seamlessly flowing from room to room. These wide, long planks were reclaimed from a warehouse on the banks of the River Mersey. The boards were restored, then brushed and finished with naked skin lacquer to ensure there was no colour change to the pale, elevated grain. Claremont, from our Bold Surfaces portfolio, was used on the ceilings. Painted and then worn down by hand to show unique saw marks, it gives a minimalistic, modern aesthetic that complements the pale walls.

Private residence - Greenwich Village, New York

Ted Todd Fine Wood Floors

UK based interior designer Jo Hamilton recently completed this high-end residential project in Greenwich Village, New York. Jo Hamilton is widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading interior designers. Famed for its narrow tree-lined streets and brick townhouses, Greenwich Village is widely regarded as New York’s bohemian capital. We were approached to specify a light toned, chevron wood floor for the project and supplied our slow-grown European Oak, Cashmere. Our Cashmere chevron anchors the space, providing a neutral base for Hamilton’s achromatic colour scheme, geometric patterns and characterful details
The Coal shed

The Coal shed

Ted Todd Fine Wood Floors

The Coal Shed London brings a taste of the Brighton seaside to the bank of the River Thames. The Coal Shed London’s décor mirrors its Brighton sister through smoky mirrors, masculine palettes and antique metals. Design LSM masterminded the interior, creating an atmospheric, luxurious restaurant that appeals to both residents and city workers within the area. We specified a bespoke wide plank engineered wood floor and double-fumed herringbone parquet blocks, which have a deeply aged look. With a 6mm wear layer, these floors can handle high levels of footfall with ease.
The Office Group

The Office Group

Ted Todd Fine Wood Floors

The Office Group designed their newest location at Victoria Station for their design-led workplace offer. Shed, who were tasked with designing the art-deco space, approached us to supply the flooring, and had a strong idea of what they wanted from the beginning. Ground and mezzanine floors provide linked drop-in work space, particularly suited to The Office Group’s members arriving or departing from Victoria Station. Darwin, with its tight grain and warm tone, was ultimately specified in a herringbone format, and has been paired with rich jewel-toned velvet upholstery for a warm and sophisticated space.
