21 Moorfields is a new commercial development in the City of London made up of offices and high-quality retail space. The building sits directly above the London Underground and also a new Crossrail ticket hall. A selection of our specialist screed products was specified for use on this complicated project due to the high strengths gained at a low depth and fast-drying properties.

Over 1,400m2 of RonaDeck Resin Bound Surfacing was installed at the British Racing School in Newmarket. RG Carter Group specified Lunar to create a decorative, low maintenance, hard-wearing surface dressing which is also wheelchair friendly.

The hotel’s newly marble-fitted bathrooms required a thin, water resistant floating screed to be applied to the insulation boards providing a base for the marble flooring. The screed needed to withstand the weight of the marble baths and other fixtures.

Ronafix Pre-packed Screed 6-50mm was specified to be laid to falls to provide drainage to the new terrace construction, which provides access to student accommodation and waterproofing to the rear of the shop units below. Early application of the asphalt waterproofing was possible because Ronafix Pre-packed Screed 6-50mm dries faster than traditional sand and cement screeds, reducing the delay between application of the screed and waterproofing.

MJF Group completed the coating of Darlington Fire Station using RonaFloor HB200. The bays were completed using dark grey with the borders in brick red. Before the application of RonaFloor HB200, they were required to install a damp proof membrane and opted for our RonaFloor Epoxy DPM which can be applied to substrate with an RH of up to 97%.

Downley House was built on the site of old farm building set within the newly formed South Downs National Park. The stunning design of Downley House was a reference to the owner’s history in the wine business. RonaDeck Resin Bound Surfacing was specified for use by BPR Architects and Harvest Crunch was the aggregate blend selected by the client to perfectly complement this unique property.

During the regeneration of the new Terminal 2 at Heathrow Airport, Vetter UK, the specialist contracting arm of Laing O’Rourke needed to specify a fast-drying 135mm deep screed so that the project could continue with minimum disruption, saving time and costs. RonaScreed FastDry Prompt was specified for its fast-drying properties and the fact that it could be mixed at ground level and then pumped up the three storeys to the point of application, saving on time and cost.

Ronafix Pre-packed Wearing Screed 15mm+ was used in the plant rooms and loading bays at One Canada Square. The London skyscraper is the 3rd tallest building in the UK, has nearly 10,000 people working on-site and takes 130,000 deliveries each year!

Ronafix Pre-Packed Screed 6-50mm was used throughout the Shangri-La Hotel located on the upper floors of The Shard in London.

Every year since 2000 the Serpentine Gallery in London has commissioned a temporary summer pavilion by a leading international architect. Each of these pavilions is situated on top of Ronafix Pre-packed Screed 6-50mm which was installed to provide a thin hard wearing surface.

RonaDeck Resin Bound Surfacing system has been laid to the paved areas surrounding Tedworth House in Tidworth, Wiltshire. The paths were laid as part of a Help for Heroes' project to transform the Grade 2 listed house into a Personnel Recovery and Assessment Centre (PRAC) for injured service personnel.

Ronafix polymer admixture was used in two different applications during recent refurbishment work at the Barbican Centre. The admixture was used to create a high strength levelling screed and also a water resistant bedding mortar.

Ronacrete was called to a site meeting at The Brunswick Centre in February 2017 to discuss detailing of Ronafix floating screeds laid to falls where the required balustrade heights on the podium decks restricted the minimum screed thickness. It was agreed that a minimum screed thickness of 35mm could be applied if plant and materials were only positioned on thicker sections of screed until after granite paving had been laid, to ensure that heavy point loads did not cause deformation of the insulation boards.

Ronafix Pre Packed 6-50mm was used during the development of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2017 to provide a thin section, heavy-duty screed capable of taking traffic in excess of 60,000 on a weekly basis. The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the third-largest football stadium in England and the largest club stadium in London. The entire construction cost exceeded £1 Billion. It is a multi-purpose stadium and features the world's first dividing, retractable football pitch, which reveals a synthetic turf field underneath for NFL London Games, concerts and other events.

RonaDeck Resin Bonded Surfacing was chosen to provide a hard wearing and slip resistant surfacing to the tarmac ramps, ensuring that crowds can gain access to the Stadium in safety in even the wettest of weather conditions.
