Designed by LS3P Associates and constructed by M.B. Kahn Construction Co., the Wando Library located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, United States boasts a stunning and unique façade. This look was created by using Longboard Tongue & Groove siding planks in Dark Cherry, Light Cherry, Western Cedar and Black in a series of different profiles. This creative integration of products developed an enticing and eye-catching design to welcome the public inside. Tongue and Groove material can be installed both horizontally, as well as vertically as pictured in this particular project.

Built by Lindan Homes, Longboard Products was proud to be featured and involved in this beautiful design. With drawings completed by Keystone Architecture this project was first to feature our new Link & Lock Battens, the versatile design was made simple with our interlocking beam product and gave this office space a modern and welcoming design. Our Link & Lock Battens featured in this project are built for easy install, and creative adaptability. Safe for interior and exterior use, can be used as beams, battens, fins, ceilings and more. Available in all finish options and 4", 6" and 8” batten sizes.

A highly popular west-coast restaurant chain with over 30 locations in and around Vancouver, Canada required a design solution that provided them with a natural look that aligned with strict building codes. They had to find a replacement for their wood cladding that still looked great and reflected their preference for a west coast aesthetic but also aligned with strict non-combustibility requirements on all their buildings. We worked with the architects to determine a design solution and now our product can be seen on several of the Cactus Club locations.

This design featuring Longboard in both a solid and woodgrain colour, is the newest boutique hotel in Des Moines, Iowa. Located near Living History Farms, this hotel is embracing Iowa’s agricultural heritage, but with a modern twist. “There’s nothing vanilla about it,” said Kim Whalen, executive vice president of Heart of America Group. “You’re in Iowa. Located in Santa Clarita, California, which is just outside of Los Angeles, the Rye Canyon Medical Center is home to a variety of spaces from medical offices to flex use. This project was designed by Scale(s) Lab Architects, a Los Angeles based firm that specializes in mixed-use and retail spaces. Longboard products are incorporated into many healthcare facility designs due to being free of volatile organic compounds (VOC), manufactured with chrome-free processes, 100% non-combustible, and 100% recyclable. The products are also created with durable AAMA 2604/2605 certified powder coating.

This school designed by SAPP Design features many spaces for collaboration and areas that promote an active learning environment. Featuring Longboard® 6" V-Groove in Light Cherry, the most cutting edge feature of this project is that it is Net Zero capable. A Net Zero building is one that uses little energy and is powered completely by solar panels and/or wind turbines. This project will not initially include solar nor wind power, but will be a very low energy consumer, so the future addition of solar/wind power will make it Net Zero and completely off the utility grid.

All of our products are safe for interior applications as they are VOC free and 100% non-combustible. We offer a variety of interior options including a suspended ceiling system with acoustical testing available.

This project located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada uses Longboard® 6” V-Groove in the colours Western Cedar & Light Cherry. Designed by Proscenium Architecture + Interiors in collaboration with our product design department this project utilizes a natural effect algorithm that enables architects and designers to achieve a realistic wood look using two different wood grain colours. The architects at Proscenium utilized this algorithm to create a unique look for the Vancouver, Lawn, Tennis and Badminton Club in order to stay true to their design while taking advantage of the performance and capabilities of Longboard®.
