Lockable Dowels for Temporary Movement Joints
Leviat
Lockable Dowels have been designed by Ancon for use at temporary movement joints, most commonly found in post-tensioned concrete frames.
These dowels allow initial shrinkage of the concrete to take place and are then locked in position with a mechanical plate and a controlled amount of epoxy resin. The locked dowels continue to transfer shear, but prevent further movement taking place.

Large panels of masonry or panels with openings can often be difficult to justify structurally. The traditional solutions have been to either increase the thickness of the wall or introduce an additional masonry pier.

Windposts are designed to provide
additional lateral support for panels
of masonry. Windposts can be
installed into either the inner leaf of
blockwork or into the cavity leaving
the blockwork undisturbed. Ancon
AMR is a fabricated and flattened
stainless steel or carbon steel
reinforcement which locates in the
bed joint to strengthen a wall.
Parapet Posts are used as vertical
support for brickwork in parapet
panels.

The advanced design units are lightweight and easy to fit, and can be simply aligned using a unique two-part system to create a flawless joint with the main brickwork façade – with no unsightly supporting steelwork left exposed.
Developed by two of the building industry’s leading manufacturers, Ibstock Kevington and Ancon, the system combines a high integrity stainless steel brickwork support system with prefabricated brick faced units that can be simply lifted and bolted into position by hand – without mechanical lifting equipment.
Non-Drill Fixings

Ancon’s range of ‘NON-DRILL’ masonry-to-steel fixing solutions was developed to address the safety concerns of the Industry.
Driven by customer demand for masonry restraint fixings with an alternate installation method from either shot-firing or drilling, Ancon engineered the six innovative solutions detailed in this brochure.
These new fixings do not require the use of
power tools and can reduce installation times and costs. In all instances they simply abut the column or attach to the flange to restrain the wall against lateral
wind loads.
